Your Food Control Plan asks you to record the same checks every day, and paper diaries are the first thing to slip when service gets busy. NutriCent keeps those records on a tablet or phone, attributed to the person who did the check, with exports your verifier can read. What your plan asks you to record If your business works to a template Food Control Plan such as MPI's Simply Safe & Suitable, the daily and weekly records usually include: Opening and closing checks, and your cleaning schedule Fridge and freezer temperatures, checked every day Cooking, cooling, reheating and hot-holding temperatures Deliveries: supplier, temperature on arrival, packaging and use-by dates Allergen information for each product Staff sickness, training, and thermometer calibration What you did when something went wrong (corrective actions) How NutriCent keeps up with service Tap a reading in, or say it ("main chiller is 3.8 degrees") in Chrome on a tablet or computer. The app reads it back before saving. Each record carries the time and the staff member who signed it with their PIN. It keeps working when the Wi-Fi drops in the cool room, and syncs when the connection returns. Staff screens work in English, te reo Māori, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese. An out-of-range reading names the MPI rule that flagged it and asks what was done about it, so the corrective action is captured while the cook is still standing there. Records are chained together, so a later change to a filed record shows up in the export. What NutriCent is not NutriCent is a record-keeping tool built around the MPI template. It is not approved or endorsed by MPI, it does not register or certify your business, and it does not replace your registered Food Control Plan. You stay responsible for following your plan; NutriCent makes the records easier to keep and easier to show. Is NutriCent approved by MPI? No. It is built around MPI's Simply Safe & Suitable template, and its rules cite the MPI card each limit comes from, but MPI does not approve record-keeping apps. Your verifier decides whether your records meet your plan. Does it replace my Food Control Plan? No. Your registered plan stays the same. NutriCent is where the day-to-day records for that plan are kept. Can staff use it in their own language? Yes. The kitchen screens work in seven languages. Spoken readings are recorded in English for now; tapped entries work in all seven. Does it work without internet? Yes. Checks save on the device and sync when the connection returns. How long are records kept? Four years, including after you leave. You can ask for an export of your records at any time. What does it cost? NZ$49 per site a month for our first 20 founding kitchens, locked for 12 months, then NZ$79. GST is not charged. We invoice monthly; no card is needed.
